Okay... so despite my comments in the previous post, I've soldiered on and continued reading Eclipse

I have to say that, after the particular bit that I found most distasteful, there are still bits worth getting excited about.

( An example - because if I'm going to hoist the bad bits upon you, I had better bring in a bit of the good as well, don't you think? (Spoilers for Eclipse) )

I'm dabbling in a crossover thingy involving Firefly, set after Serenity (the movie). My problem is this: I know I should leave canon alone and let Wash be dead. Does it cheapen the integrity of a crossover to make one of the crossed over fandoms AU? I don't know - in any case, the story will work with canon. But... Another song I'd love to read - or write - a Wes fic to is "Ordinary", by Train, off of the Spiderman 2 cd. Actually, I think I could fit them into a series of ficlets set in the same as AU as my drabble, "Portent". I'm just not sure how. Any ideas? Song lyrics below:
